Using OPTIVAR
For relief of the itching associated with allergy eyes, simply use one drop of OPTIVAR in each affected eye twice a day.

Make sure the tip of the bottle doesn't touch any surface - your eyeball, eyelid, or any part of your face. This will keep the fluid in the bottle from being contaminated.

What if you wear contact lenses?

Do not use OPTIVAR eye drops to treat irritation caused by contact lenses. Because OPTIVAR may be absorbed by soft contact lenses, after you use OPTIVAR, wait at least ten minutes to put in your soft lenses. If your eyes are red, do not wear contact lenses.

OPTIVAR is indicated for the treatment of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis in patients as young as 3 years of age.

In controlled clinical studies, some patients experienced brief eye burning/stinging, headache, and bitter taste. Less than 1% of patients stopped using OPTIVAR because of these effects. OPTIVAR should not be used if you are sensitive to any of the medication's components.

Available by prescription only. Ask your healthcare professional if OPTIVAR is right for you. Please see full Prescribing Information.
